1) What should one do in case the Death Certificate is not available?
In case the death certificate is not available, you may submit or report the documents issued by any concerned government authorities involved in relief activities or the local gram panchayat or municipal offices along with a claim form or any missing list released by the government of Odisha confirming the person dead, newspapers cuttings released by the government of Odisha. This relaxation in policy is till 31st July 2019.
2) What document is required in case both Life Assured and Nominee are dead?
In case the nominee is also dead and the claim is made by any other legal heirs, the death proof of the nominee along with surviving family members certificate and a no objection letter/ certificate from rest of the surviving members is required.
3) What should you do if the life insured is reported as missing?
In such a situation we will not be able to process the death claim unless there is missing complaint registered in the jurisdictional police station and the person is not been seen or heard by anyone for the last 7 years from the date of reporting as missing.
